Hello! My name is Abby Clark. That's me up there as a kid (the crazy one with my mouth open) with my favorite babysitter, my older sister. But not everyone has a built-in babysitter like I did.
That's why I created the Charlotte Babysitters Club! In short, I keep a list of sitters and a list of families. Whenever a family has a need (weekend sitter, part time nanny, whatever), they email me and I push that gig out to the list of babysitters. On the reverse, babysitters email me with things like “I am available this Friday and Saturday night, does anyone need a sitter?”, and I push those messages out to the list of families. I facilitate the connections between family and babysitter. Easy enough, right?
DISCLAIMER: I do NOT screen the babysitters and only collect basic information upon sitter signup. Babysitters come from word-of-mouth recommendations and I encourage the families to do their own interview/background process. Babysitters will come with references upon connecting if requested.
